
Allied Steel Announces 2005 Builder of the Year Award

LAUDERDALE, FL –
Allied Steel Buildings Inc. announced
Eddie Poff, founder and president of Poff Builders from Greensboro, NC,
as the winner of their 2005 Builder of the Year Award.
Eddie
Poff has been working with Allied both as a builder and consumer for the
past three years. He earned the title with his 2005 accomplishments,
building an average of one steel building every two weeks stretching
from upstate New York to South Florida.
“We met Eddie when he was shopping for
a building for one of his customers. That customer gave him such good
reviews that we decided to start referring him out to additional
clients,” said Charles Kowalski, co-founder of Allied Steel Buildings.
Poff’s Builder of the Year Award was a
free 40 X 60 X 14 Allied building complete with gutters, down spouts,
overhang, soffit, and trim. The building has become the headquarters for
his business.
As a winner, he will also enjoy the
privilege of attending several NASCAR events and watching them from
private VIP suites and pit rows. Since he won, Poff became such a big
fan of NASCAR races that he built a personal garage for Nextel Cup
driver Ryan Newman.
"It was the most elaborate building I've ever built," Poff said. "To
call it a 'garage' is kind of joke, this thing was huge and so clean you
could eat off the floors."
Poff’s proudest accomplishment is a
client list that he says is “100 percent satisfied” with his crew’s work
ethic and the buildings they’ve built.
Pastor Keith Warren, who put up a
church in Strasburg, VA, recalls his experience with Eddie Poff; “It was
quite a project! We put in about 200 man-hours, and the whole thing took
15 workdays to finish but with Eddie’s help we have our congregation
looking just the way we wanted it to."Poff used other companies before
but said he would never work for anybody else again.
"I could work with any steel building
company I wanted to," said Poff. "The reason I work with Allied is
because they are by far the most consistent and dependable. What’s more,
they have the best after-sale service of any company - bar none."
